We at Jaxonbilt Hat Co have for many years successfully assisted Single Action Shooters and Cowboy Re-enactors with achieving their alter egos by providing them with a custom built hat.
We love working with these people, as it offers us a challenge, keeping our authentic Western Spirit alive and well!
Bill McBayer is a Single Action Shooter, a member of the Single Action Shooting Society. “The members share a common interest in preserving the history of the Old West and competive shooting in a safe, fun, family-friendly environment.”
The members choose a character of profession from the Old West or the old west movies to represent. The members adopt this persona and attitude when participating in the Single Action Shooter events referred to as the “Spirit of the Game”. The members try the best to dress and act the part.
Recently, Jaxonbilt hatter Amy had the pleasure of working with Bill McBayer and his persona Skeeter Willie to custom build his special character hat.
