Our People

Howdy from Salmon, Idaho! “White Water Capitol of the World”. Jaxonbilt Hat Co Intl is located in the mountain country of East Central Idaho. As the crow flies, Salmon is approximately 5-7 miles west of the Continental Divide, on the boarder of Montana and Idaho.

Salmon is the county seat for Lemhi County, home of Sacajawea, the Shoshone Indian woman who served as the interpreter/guide for Lewis & Clark. The Lewis & Clark Trail passes close to the town of Salmon. One can retrace the Lewis & Clark expedition through Lemhi County, over Lost Trail Pass into Montana.
Our small town was visited recently by the “National Geographic Magazine”. Writers for the magazine wrote that Salmon was the most remote community in the USA. Lemhi County is a beef country, with more cattle than people and only two traffic lights.
